The All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims (APPG) have been pushing for a definition for Islamophobia which within time will make the criticism or questioning Islam a criminal offence.

The APPG have been holding consultations and have now decided on a full definition. The initial definition was reached last year.
It is effectively a blasphemy law for the Islam, which within the shari’ah is a capital crime.

All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims states its purpose as,
“To inform Parliament and parliamentarians of, and harness their support for, the aspirations and challenges of British Muslim communities; to promote and celebrate their contributions; and to investigate the forms, manifestations and extent of prejudice, discrimination and hatred against Muslims in the UK.”

The initial definition was as follows,
“Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness.
A link for the report on the inquiry into a working definition of Islamophobia / anti-Muslim hatred is here.
Here is a video from August last year for the consultation for the definition of Islamophobia. ISLAMOPHOBIA DEFINITION/APPG ON BRITISH MUSLIM Conference : CNI News
Within the report is this very brief questionnaire used in the consultation.

A seemingly more detailed, however vague definition has now been given and councils across the UK are now adopting the definition; it should be noted that at this point in time the adoption of the definition is voluntary.

The full definition for Islamophobia is.

  • Calling for, aiding, instigating or justifying the killing or harming of Muslims in the name of a racist/fascist ideology, or an extremist view of religion.
  • Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Muslims as such, or of Muslims as a collective group, such as, especially but not exclusively, conspiracies about Muslim entryism in politics, government or other societal institutions; the myth of Muslim identity having a unique propensity for terrorism and claims of a demographic ‘threat’ posed by Muslims or of a ‘Muslim takeover’.
  • Accusing Muslims as a group of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Muslim person or group of Muslim individuals, or even for acts committed by non-Muslims.
  • Accusing Muslims as a group, or Muslim majority states, of inventing or exaggerating Islamophobia, ethnic cleansing or genocide perpetrated against Muslims.
  • Accusing Muslim citizens of being more loyal to the ‘Ummah’ (transnational Muslim community) or to their countries of origin, or to the alleged priorities of Muslims worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.
  • Denying Muslim populations, the right to self-determination e.g., by claiming that the existence of an independent Palestine or Kashmir is a terrorist endeavour.
  • Applying double standards by requiring of Muslims behaviours that are not expected or demanded of any other groups in society, eg loyalty tests.
  • Using the symbols and images associated with classic Islamophobia.
  • Holding Muslims collectively responsible for the actions of any Muslim majority state, whether secular or constitutionally Islamic.
The councils who have adopted the following full definition so far, are Oxford and two councils in London.

If we take two examples from the above list and look at what is being taught to Muslims in the UK and the USA, the list becomes very concerning as it will become a crime to have genuine concerns about these very real issues.

Below is the advice for parents in a book sold in an Islamic bookstore in Birmingham, UK. It is of Deobandi teachings, which as of 2017 data hold 779 mosques in the UK, the most for any one denomination.

“The love of children, must take second place to the concerns of Islaam. The aim and objective of every believer is to establish an Islamic society”.
It goes onto talk about Jihad and martyrdom. Then at the end says,
“The mind of a Muslim, his heart and his limbs, must be occupied with the pursuit of Islaam, it’s doctrines; Jihad; love for fellow Muslims and heed the invitation to the deen(religion) of Allah. The love of family, wives, children and lineage must be subordinated to the love of Islaam.”

This second book is one which is used in Islamic schools in the USA.
“The duty of a Muslim is to be loyal to the Islamic State,”

So as evidenced, those are two books used by Muslims in the west to display the priority has to be with Islam and to establish an Islamic society which will live by the shari’ah.

So is it “Islamophobia” to have concerns about a “Muslim takeover”?

The demographics alone will see it happen. I will give one example where population will have an impact.

Recently there has been a petition to stop LGBT teachings in a school. Regardless of whether the general public believe this should be taught in British schools, let’s just have a look at what the objection was.

The main petitioner who is a mother of a child at the school said,

“Children are being told it’s OK to be gay yet 98 per cent of children at this school are Muslim. It’s a Muslim community.” “The school knew the local community and parents have a different set of family values and morals, and were opposed to an LGBT agenda that says being gay is OK.” “Our community ethos was not respected. We feel betrayed by the school.”
Another mother ,
“There’s no need. This place is different, it’s a 90 per cent Muslim school.

If the increasing population of Muslims didn’t have an impact on our society, then why would anyone need to mention it was a majority Muslim school ? This should not be a factor as we have legislation from British Parliament for all people. And let’s not forget what the punishment for being gay in Islam is. I present to you again, evidence from two books.

Within time it will become a crime to question the above even though within Islamic sources with evidence from Qur’an and Sahih Hadith, and they are duties within Islam. This will especially impact former Muslims for which the punishment is death for leaving Islam.

The accountability of duties in Islam are believed to be with Allah, but Muslims are required to follow their imam (and not their own desires or interpretation on a subject matter) who is believed to have extensive knowledge in the teachings of Islam.

In addition to this, it is not permissible for a non Muslim ruler/government to hold priority over Allah and Allah’s final messenger (Muhammad’s) laws.

“O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.” (Qur’an 4:59)

Ibn Kathir Tafseer says it means this.
“(The Muslim is required to hear and obey in that which he likes and dislikes, unless he was commanded to sin. When he is commanded with sin, then there is no hearing or obeying.) This Hadith is recorded in the Two Sahihs. `Ubadah bin As-Samit said, “We gave our pledge to Allah’s Messenger to hear and obey (our leaders), while active and otherwise, in times of ease and times of difficulty, even if we were deprived of our due shares, and to not dispute this matter (leadership) with its rightful people. The Prophet said, (Except when you witness clear Kufr about which you have clear proof from Allah.)” This Hadith is recorded in the Two Sahihs.”

“Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) Chapter: Listening to and obeying the Imam Narrated Ibn `Umar: The ‘Prophet said, “It is obligatory for one to listen to and obey (the ruler’s orders) unless these orders involve one disobedience (to Allah); but if an act of disobedience (to Allah) is imposed, he should not listen to or obey it.” Sahih al-Bukhari 2955
As you see above, that belief from hadith was explained in the book “What is Islam”, which is taught in American Islamic schools and available to purchase in the UK.

If we take the definition as whole and look at what it means in Islam, then the definition of slander might shed some light.

“To mention anything concerning a person that he would dislike.”

If a non- Muslim was accused of a crime (within Islam) whilst under an Islamic government, what would be their rights in a court?

It may surprise some to know that they would have no rights, as within the fundamental beliefs of Islam, they would not even be allowed to stand as a witness in court, this is due to them being deemed as untrustworthy due to them being a non-Muslim.

The adoption of the definition is a dangerous development, as within time it will become a crime to question anything within Islam, even if it is a valid concern. Also within time this will extend to any criticism to the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the messenger of Allah as this is an indirect of criticism of Muslims, as it is their belief.

No one knows for sure whether the fundamental beliefs will be put in place under an Islamic government in Britain, however silencing a debate on anything to do with Islam as “Islamophobia” means the values Britain prides itself upon, democracy, the rule of law and individual liberty, will be compromised.

There is one additional British value and that is tolerance to other faiths and beliefs, which this article may seem contradictory to that value, but within Islam, the only tolerance of faith, is of Christianity and Judaism, for which the adherents would need to pay Jizyah.

Muslims will say this is for protection, this is true, the protection is from Jihad.

A Summary of Islamic Jurisprudence -Dr Salih Fawzan, Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence, member of the board of senior ulema and member of the permanent committee for fatwa and research, Volume 1

“Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.” (Qur’an 24:55)

2 Replies to “ISLAMOPHOBIA DEFINITION BEING ADOPTED BY COUNCILS IN THE UK”

  1. How can our government betray us with agencies like this it undermines the beliefs and values of the British people who are now second class citizens in their own country to afraid to speak out for fear of reprisal

  2. Islamophobia is a word conjured up by the followers of Islam to prevent being scrutinized or criticized as it has much to hide that cannot be explained or understood by civilized societies ,we can discuss all other religions ,cults etc. but not Islam as we should ,we must know what is being taught to our children, they will not have an on air discussion or debate so they invented ‘Islamophobia ‘ to prevent it happening. Why do muslims prefer to be known by their religion and not their countries of origin? no other culture does, this is where they cause confusion as they get offended if someone says anything offensive concerning their religion and call it a racist remark,Islam is not a race ,nor is it a religion it is an ideology both militant and political using bully boy tactics in it’s efforts to take over, what a horrible world of blackness and despair that would be.
